I chose some home made house chips sprinkled with Old Bay seasoning as an appetizer that were wonderful. As an entree, I ordered the Bacon Jam Burger medium rare and it was fantastic!
The prices are pretty standard and the ambiance is what you would expect for a sports bar. I will definitely add this stop to my list for my next trip to the area. After 14 years in business in Glen Allen, local restaurant Home Team Grill has traded the sports moniker for one that shares the name of its community.

Long wait for such a small portion and high price tag. I needed to find a place where a group of 8 could have a good dinner and watch the USA Women play soccer while celebrating my daughter's birthday. To the menu, some nice salads and a vegetarian burger. The menu is loaded with great choices from a simple small salad and half sandwich to burgers, chili and wings. Tuesday nights are 1/2 price burgers and now they also offer different dinner specials every weekday night. I noticed that now they also offer Sunday brunch which I am planning to bring my kids because it’s such an easy place to be. We are so lucky to have this locally owned restaurant in our neighborhood.

The service is turtle slow and the food isn't very good. This restaurant and bar is nice to its regular customers, but does not take too kindly to people they perceive as outsiders. If you are a visitor here, they may seem friendly at first, but you will eventually discover that it is not sincere. On March 15, 2007, Home Team Grill opened for business in this space and has been here ever since. Coincidentally, on this day VCU beat Duke in the NCAA tournament.
My family and I enjoy this locally owned super friendly restaurant. The soups are are all homemade as well as most everything thing else on the menu, even the potato chips, which are amazing! Recently they have added some new items... Bracelets are not allowed on food service workers. Remember to remove fish from vacuum sealed bags when removing from the freezer.
